MULTIPLE OR SINGLE PET VISITS

Each 45-minute visit, in your home, is dedicated to the fulfillment of your pet.  Dogs, cats, birds love the extra attention that they receive in your absence. Pets are cuddled, caressed, brushed, loved, petted, walked and / or played with.  And yes, we will even watch the "Animal Planet" channel with them, if you so desire!  Nothing is too good for our furry (and feathered) pet friends!!

PET SLEEPOVERS

Sleepovers with your pet dogs and cats (yes, cats!) are an added bonus for our petsitting professionals, who just can't get enough of these lovely animals during the work time hours (8am – 10pm).   Therefore, sleepovers begin at 10pm.

HOME SITTING

Home sitting is for clients that want us at their home for the majority of the day and night.

This is a limited service and therefore subject to availability.

MEDICAL PET VISITS & STAYS

Licensed New York State veterinary technicians are available for the dogs and cats in need of medical attention. However, if your pet is seriously ill, we highly recommend that they be under close medical supervision at a veterinary hospital.  Medical visits are usually performed at 7 am and 7 pm for pets that are in need of insulin, hydration or other medical attention.

DAILY DOG EXERCISE WALKING

A DAILY 30-45 MINUTE DOGWALK HAS MANY ADVANTAGES FOR YOUR PET.  HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THEM:

 1.     STRUCTURED PLAYTIME

2.     BETTER HEALTH LEADING TO LESS COSTLY VISITS TO YOUR FAMILY   VETERINARIAN

3.     LESS BEHAVIORAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS, SUCH AS:

  • HOWLING
  • AGGRESSIVE BARKING
  • LAWN DIGGING
  • DESTRUCTIVE CHEWING
  • EXCESSIVE DEMANDS FOR ATTENTION
  • AGGRESSIVE OR FEARFUL BEHAVIOR TOWARDS STRANGERS

4.     INCREASED SOCIALIZATION SKILLS.

AEROBIC EXERCISE PROGRAMS

This is a limited program that is offered to clients with high energy dogs.  These programs include biking, running and swimming with the dogs. Due to the extreme nature and for the safety of the dogs, all dogs must be thoroughly obedienced trained, both on and off leash.  In addition, these programs are offered on a seasonal basis.

Why?

Because I'm not a great big "fan" of winter!

PUPPY TRAINING & HOUSBREAKING

Yes, we agree that all puppies are adorable!  When they first arrive, your whole being is elated with this little "bundle of joy", UNTIL.......

  1. your first and continued VERY early wake ups come from a lonely, scared pup, who wants to be with you.
  2. you come home to find your favorite pair of shoes, clothing furniture or cabinets is now your puppy's favorite chew toy.
  3. you continue to find puppy "messes" all over his confined living space that you have provided so lovingly for him.  Or worse yet, he keeps soiling your carpet.
  4. you can't seem to remember when you were "single", not "married" to your puppy.  And your friends begin to call just to make sure that you still exist!
  5. you begin receiving calls from New Jersey homeowners about the excessive howling from your lonesome puppy on Long Island - only kidding!!!
  6. you find that this isn't as easy as you thought it might be - not kidding!!!

Well, welcome to reality!

But your little "bundle of joy" can remain a little "bundle of joy" and grow up to be a big "bundle of joy", if you allow us to assist you with our puppy training and housebreaking programs.  We will address all of the above concerns and a whole lot more.

Ask about our specially priced puppy training programs, which can include housebreaking, training and daily/weekly walking.  The old adage of "nipping a problem in the bud" definitely applies here.  Do not think that puppies outgrow their bad behaviors!  Like everything else, habits are formed from behavior, good and bad.  Please review our Obedience and Corrective Training to see why it's so important to train your puppy now.  And please, please remember that your hands are for loving ONLY.

OBEDIENCE TRAINING

&

BEHAVIORAL TRAINING

Does your dog need behavioral/corrective training?  There are many forms of aggression.  So please ask yourself the following questions, as they apply to you or any member of your family.  We know that you love your "baby", but try to be objective.  Your dog's life may just depend on it!

Have you ever noticed snarling, snapping, biting, curling of lips, baring of teeth,  lunging at you when:

1.   your dog is eating and someone walks by his food bowl?

2.     your dog steals food and someone tries to take it away from him?

3.     your dog is under the kitchen/dining room table during a meal.  And someone, especially a child, drops food on the floor and the child reaches for it?

4.  someone tries to stop your dog as he digs into a garbage can?

5.    your dog and another dog of the same sex are being fed at the same time?

6.    your dog is on your bed and someone tries to remove him?

7.  your dog is moved or touched?

8.     when a family member or stranger enters the room with your dog present?

9.   your dog is allowed to sleep on the bed and you or your spouse try to move him, especially if he is accidentally awakened?

10your dog is under the bed and someone tries to reach for him, which causes him to feel trapped or unusually territorial?

11your dog is being removed from the furniture?

12your dog cannot understand the difference between his possessions and those belonging to family members?

13 a delivery person or other stranger enters the front door?

14 your dog barks and then backs away staying at your side, and then chases a stranger when he or she leaves?

15a sudden movement startles your dog?

16someone reaches out to give you something or to shake hands with you?

17visiting children play with your dog as if he were their own?

18roughhousing?

19children tease or pull on the parts of your dog's body?

20 a child falls on top of your dog?

21 the dog steals a child's toy and the child tries to take it back?

22 an adult is holding your dog and a child approaches?

23your dog is not familiar with small children or is exposed to a newborn baby or a visiting child?

24your dog is loose during a delivery?

25your dog is tied up and someone enters his area?

26your dog is growling, not barking,  at the fence as people go by?

27strangers approach your dog and reach down to pet him?

28your dog is on a leash and lunges at joggers, bikers, or roller bladers who are passing by?

29another dog passes by?

30a stranger approaches you in a friendly mannerly, and reaches for your dog to pet him?

31your dog is tied up?

32your dog is being held by you and someone approaches?

33the dog is handled by a professional service provider, such as a veterinarian or a groomer?

34certain parts of your dog's body are touched during an examination?

35someone is standing over your dog, making him feel dominated or fearful?

36your dog is in a veterinarian's waiting room and another person or dog comes too close?

37a stranger approaches the car?

yy your dog sees another dog?

39your dog is moved off the car seat, which he perceives as his territory?

40your dog is blocking a doorway?

41your dog is being verbally or physically corrected?

42your dog sees new people?

44your dog growls at any member of the family?

45you put his collar on your dog?

46you try to pick up your dog and move him off the furniture?

47you have approached your dog in "his territory"?

If any of the above happens, you may have a very serious situation.  These behaviors are not just your dog's "personality".

Some of the less serious consequences suffered by owners of aggressive dogs are:

  • loss of friendships between neighbors, friends and relatives
  • lost time from employment
  • additional medical expenses
  • psychological stress of the owner
More serious and common consequences that owners may incur are major lawsuits and the legally enforced termination of their beloved pet.

ROUTINE AND EMERGENCY PET

TRANSPORTS

(LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY)

Love N Care Pet Transportation offers locally, scheduled and emergency transports to and from veterinarian offices, clinics, and "special needs" surgical hospitals.

We will also transport your pet "babies" to any state via a climate controlled motorized vehicle, thus avoiding the tremendous stress of airplane flights, the administering of tranquilizers and possible loss or death of your beloved pet.

For overnight transportations, we sleep with the pets in "pet friendly" hotels.  And during the daytime travel hours, we walk and play with those dogs that want or need a little extra love and attention.  We are with your "babies" 24 hours a day

If your pet needs regular medical attention, we will gladly have a licensed medical practioner available for the transport.  When you arrive at your destination, your pets will be waiting for you - happy, contented and full of life!

State and national transportation is a highly variable cost service.  When calling, we will need various details, such as number of pets, beginning and ending destinations, pet's adaptability for long travel trips in a motorized vehicle, pet's medical concerns and general overall health.

" DOODY DUTY "

This service is primarily offered to clients of Love N Care Pet Sitting Service only.

Exceptions to the rule can always be made.
